    Livingston, that can be reached only by boat, is a village of Garífuna or Garinagu people at the mouth in the Gulf of Honduras. In 2001 UNESCO proclaimed the language, dance and music of the Garifuna a "Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity". They are descendents from Carib people and Africans escaped slaves. Caribbean in feel more than Central American Livingston, once Guatemala's main port on the Caribbean Sea, is unique among Guatemala, a fascinating melting pot of mixed cultures surrounded by water and jungle dancing on the pulse of the Punta, a regional dance, and eating spicy curried food. Garifuna Independence Day it's a wild and intense cultural celebration in Livingston, on November 26th, when the Garifuna people celebrate their freedom dancing and singing.

    The most spectacular Holy Week of the Latin America, another Seville where roman soldiers with Mayan faces interpret a collective memory between colonial palaces and Baroque churches of Antigua, uncovered by frequent earthquakes and eruptions of nearby volcanoes. From dawn to sunset thousands of penitents, curucuchos rigorously dressed in purple load on the shoulders heavy statues of Jesus Christ and Virgin Mary, a privilege often passed down from father to son.
